Current Event Scholar Class #5 - due Dec 16

Today we did our presentations on the presidential candidates.  Everyone did a great job researching their positions.  We took a vote and Ron Paul won our class by a large majority.

We didn't have time to discuss much else today, but hopefully we can discuss the Thousand Year War next class.  I'll post a few things I thought were interesting on the current events blog.  Check it out soon, and post your own opinions there too!

The assignments for Dec 16 are:

1. Read the Thousand Year War, up to at least chapter 32.

2. Continue reading or watching the news on a regular basis.

3. Write a blog post about an interesting event, and tell us your opinion about what makes it interesting, good or bad, true or false, etc.

4. Brush up on your European geography.  We'll have a quiz soon.
